Un disco que surge de la necesidad. En N.Y. algunos clubs de Jazz son tan pequeños que apenas cabe un piano y además están en los bajos de edificios de vecinos por lo que es preferible prescindir de instrumentos ruidosos como la batería. Estas circunstancias determinaron que se creara el trío de esta grabación. Lee Konitz al alto, Dick Katz al piano y Wilbur Little al bajo tocaron durante semanas en el "Gregory's" y la experiencia fue tan satisfactoria que se decidieron a grabar esta delicia de disco.

No me canso de este disco, la primera vez que lo escuche fue en el 82 y desde entonces ha pasado a ser, para mi, en una referencia en lo que se refiere a discos en directo.

Tengo que reconocer que de Yes solo tenia el Fragile y el Close to the edge y pensaba que no me hacia falta nada mas, pero consegui el Going for the one el domingo y este tema me ha dejado completamente flipando.
Aparte el resto del disco mantiene los standares de calidad de sus obras maestras mencionadas antes.
¿por qu´´e suelto todo este rollo? Porque a veces nos dejamos llevar por prejuicios adquiridos por opiniones de 'expertos' y hacerles demasiado caso, hace que nos perdamos autenticas obras de arte como este Awaken.
El otro tema del disco que me gusta sobre el resto es turn of the century, aunque de los 5 de que se compone, no encuentras morralla.
