Re: Tocadiscos Dual 1257
Basándome en esta respuesta -en inglés

Creo que el problema puede estar en alguno de los condensadores de la fuente de alimentación esté defectuoso.
So I’ve decided to keep a Dual 1257 changer I picked up from GW. After a clean and lube, all functions work well. Speed direction is another issue, however; it will run backwards 1 time out of 5.
AK to the rescue: this is a motor recap issue, as found in a search. Indeed, one of my RIFA caps is cracked, so I will replace all three.
My question is do these caps show polarity? Looking at these, no obvious polarity to me...
Here is a pic of the caps:

Thanks in advance to get this little guy working great again!
From a previous post, here is a response to the needed caps:
Here is your answer. Underneath, remove the power supply cover (red lid). No need to remove the motor connections, the PC board pops loose for access.
There are 3 labeled film caps:
C1: .01uF, 250v
C2: .33uF, 250v
C3: .068uF, 250v
#2 is the one that is energized when you 1st turn it on and controls platter rotation direction. I changed it out and no more problem. But, I highly recommend that you change out all 3 (I did). 2 of the 3 were bad - only a matter of time before the 3rd one would go.
BTW, I used .047uF, 400v film caps for 1 & 3, and .39uF, 250v radial/mylar cap for 2 (stuff I had in stock). All functions are now normal.
Problem solved!
